GoldnGun Retrievers

Power Performance Personality

Flirt and Dare 2008

We love to hear from our puppies new homes!

Here is some of the updates we have received about our puppies.

From day one Ginger demonstrated a lot of confidence and great desire and ability to learn. She adapted very well to her new home and although Ginger was definitely a busy puppy and required a fair amount of exercise and play she was also able to settle down.

Although we got Ginger as a pet, Louise recommended to take our pup to pet manners class. Ginger was a pleasure to work with and we were unable to resist the temptation to train her for competitive obedience.

In field work Ginger had everything against her. We did not begin any field training until she was about 18 months and her handler was as inexperienced as they come. Thankfully Louise and Rick took us under their wings and we begin the journey.

Since 2009 Ginger and I have in participated competitively in obedience, hunt tests and rally obedience. Recreationally Ginger and I have taken flyball and agility classes.

On the spring of 2010 Ginger obtained her CKC PCD and her Junior Hunter titles. In the summer of the same year Ginger earned her CD title by qualifying on 3 consecutive trials with a High in Class ribbon for all 3 trials on the NKC June Show. Also, in September of 2010 Ginger completed her WCI and November of the same year Ginger surprised everyone earning her CDX title on one weekend with a combined score of 193.6. During 2011 Ginger earned her UKC Hunting Retriever title and her CKC WCX and in April of 2012 Ginger earned her CKC Senior Hunter title.

In 2011 Ginger was awarded the Field Trophy, the Casadelora Kennels Award and the Medowmist Obedience Trophy by the Nanaimo Kennel Club for her achievements during 2010.

In May of 2012, Ginger earned her UD title in a single weekend at the Tyee Kennel Club Obedience trial with a a combined score of 192.3 and 3 High in Class!
